Gian van Veen and Michael van Gerwen were the other automatic qualifiers with Jonny Clayton, Gerwyn Price, Josh Rock and Stephen Bunting the wildcard picks in the eight-player line-up.
Matches take place every Thursday until Finals Night on May 28 and are played in venues around the United Kingdom, Ireland and Europe, with each night its own mini tournament.
Every match during the league season is best-of-11 legs and the winner of each night earns £10,000 and gets five points, with the runner-up earning three points and the two losing semi-finalists picking up two points.
The top four players in the season-long Premier League table at the end of Night 16 in Sheffield will advance to the Play-Offs and Finals Night in London on May 28, with this year's Premier League champion earning the £350,000 first prize.
